Piano Technician Guild Mission Statement
The mission of the Piano Technician Guild is to promote the highest possible
standards of piano service by providing members with opportunities for
professional development, by recognizing technical competence through
examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
The Milwaukee Chapter which includes 19 registered and 9 associate members is
part of the National organization which has three other chapters in Wisconsin
(Madison, North Central & Appleton) and almost 4000 members.

The Piano Technicians Guild is the largest nonprofit organization serving piano
tuners, technicians, and craftsman throughout the world, organized to promote the
highest possible service and technical standards among piano tuners and
technicians. PTG sponsors meetings, seminars, workshops and conventions, and
publishes a monthly technical magazine the Piano Technicians Journal which
features a wealth of technical information ranging from useful hints to in-depth
instruction on tuning, repairing and rebuilding.

Members receive timely information on piano manufacturing technology, as well as
tuning and servicing techniques that help use time more efficiently.
